Following the addition of 30 µL alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH)
to a cuvette containing all the components for the enzyme reaction,
you use a chart recorder (full scale deflection: 0-1 absorbance
units) to monitor absorbance at 340 nm.
Once the ADH was added, there was a linear increase at
A340 from 0.145 to 0.425 over 2 minutes. The rate
of this reaction was:
1.4 ΔA min-1
0.28 ΔA min-1
0.14 ΔA min-1
2.8 ΔA min-1
