On the planet Mars, the atmosphere is much thinner than on
Earth, and gravity is g = 3,721 m / s2. The Rover Quiverity stands
on the edge of an 80 meter high crater and will launch a projectile
in connection with a seismic experiment. The projectile has mass m
= 0.565 kg and is launched at the starting speed at an angle of 36
degrees up from the horizon. The bottom of the crater is completely
flat.
How far does the projectile go, and what is the kinetic energy
when it hits the bottom? Neglect air resistance
Vo = 56,5 m/s h = 80 m 36°
