7. At the marked Point 4, relocate the transit on this new position then relocate the rod to back to Point 1. 8. Determine the distance of Line 4-1 using the tape measure in meters and also the bearing of the line by viewing the rod. 9. Fill-out the table below for the closed traverse polygon. Line Distance (m) Bearing 1-2 2-3 44.5 MATE 4-1 90.8 10. Using filled-out table, check for error closure and then apply the corrections. Use the table below for the correction application. Line Distance (m) Bearing Latitude Departure 1-2 2-3 3-4 Error 11. Apply some corrections to the closed traverse. Use the transit rule discussed in the lecture series. Then, fill-out the corrected distance and bearing of the closed traverse in the table provided below. Line Corrected Distance (m) Corrected Bearing 1-2 2-3 3-4 12. Determine the area of the closed traverse using Double Meridian Distance or Double Parallel Distance methods. Either method will do and use the table below for the area computation. Table 1. Double Meridian Distance method of area computation. Latitude Departure Line DMD Double Area (0) 0 1-2 2-3 4-1
