A L h 2L/3 A beam OA has a mass m and length L. The beam is released from rest in a vertical position. a) Calculate the (angular) speed of the beam at the moment that the beam is horizontal, if there would be no spring. (2 points) b) Calculate the forces on the hinge O, at the moment when the beam is horizontal, if there were no spring. (3 points) In horizontal position, the beam is accommodated by means of a spring with stiffness k. c) Determine how far (h) the spring must protrude above the horizontal plane, so that the beam has just reached zero velocity in horizontal position. (2 points) d) Calculate the accelerations of the beam, when the spring is present, at the moment that the beam is horizontal. (3 points)
