In a steam power plant, steam enters the high pressure turbine at 150 bar and 550 C. The condenser pressure is 0.075 bar. Steam is reheated at 20 bar and 500 C. The steam flow rate is 300 t/h. It has three closed feed water heaters operating at 50 bar, 10 bar and 3 bar, respectively. The saturated liquid exiting the three closed feed water heaters are throttled. 1. Sketch the schematic diagram. 2. Draw the T-S diagram. 3. Determine the enthalpies. 4. Solve the work of the pump, work of the turbine, heat added and heat rejected 5. Calculate the thermal efficiency.
