A galvanic cell has the cell reaction:
3Zn + 2Fe3+ → 3Zn2+ + Fe (1)
a. Decide whether cell reaction 1 occurs spontaneously in the
forward direction at
standard conditions and 25 oC.
b. Decide the equilibrium constant for cell reaction 1 at 25
oC.
c. By using standard reduction potentials, calculate the
solubility product (Ksp) for
lead(II) fluoride at 25 oC
(Eored = -0.35 V for
PbF2 + 2e- → Pb +
2F-).
