Consider the storm data given in the excel file CIVE 424 HW1 Data2022, loaded on the Blackboard. Rainfall mass curve data (in mm) are given in the first five columns (D to H). The corresponding total hydrograph ordinates (in L/s) are given in the columns 6-30 (I to AG). All the values are recorded with an interval of 15 minutes. The area of the basin A (km2) is given in the column 31 (AH). a) Determine and draw the hyetograph of the storm. b) Separate the base flow using the method whose number is given in the last column (32) of the table (column AI). Method 1: the peak of the base flow at the peak time of the direct runoff Method 2: the peak of the base flow at the second inflection point Method 3: the peak of the base flow at the end of the direct runoff c) Determine the volume of direct flow. d) Determine the Q-index for this storm. e) Determine the unit hydrograph for this basin. NOTE: 1) All the calculations and drawings should be presented with handwriting. 2) Numerical results will be given with one decimal 3) The needed semi-log graph paper is given below.
