[10 marks] b) An aluminium and a steel shaft were rigidly fastened together for the purpose of torque transmission as shown in figure 2.2. Their ends were 3 m apart from each other. The torsional rigidity of the two shafts are provides as G(steel) = 0.84x106 kg/cm² and G(aluminium) = 0.28x106 kg/cm2. Find out which of these two shafts would carry more shear stress and what will be its magnitude.
