Please finish it i will give a thumbs up for sure.
Page < 2 > of 8 0 ZOOM Questions 1 through 2 refer to the four tree ring cores below. All cores were obtoined from trees found in the same orea. 1. Analyze the tree rings in each core sample and complete the following questions. Enter your answers in the table below the figure. (note: pith is the center of the tree) 1. Count the number of tree rings in each core sample in the figure below. This number is the age of the tree in years. Year 1 Year Year Early Late 4 5 Wood Wood This figure shows an example of how to count the tree ring years. Pith is the plant tissue found in the center of a tree trunk and scientists don't count the pith when counting tree rings TI Pith Year Year Bark 2 3 2. Because you know when Core 1 was cut or cored (2018), next match ring patterns for Core 1 to the other two cores. (A red line has been drawn showing the first correlation). Using the same technique, determine the year cut/cored for Core 3. 3. Determine the year the tree started growing by counting backward along the rings in the core sample. Note, 2018 is labeled above the bark of Core 1. 2018 Core I II III 1 Core Core Core USGS Core Sample Age of Tree Year Cut or Cored Year Growth Began 1 2 3 4

Write the years the droughts spanned in the space below, e.g., 1969-1971. b. Compare the number of drought years (count the number of thing rings) and compare these to the total number of wide rings. Write the number of wide and narrow rings below Number of wide growth rings: Number of narrow growth rings: C. Based on your answer in b. above, did the area experience more years of drought or of plentiful rainfall?
