Virtual rock sample 3 – from Unit 1B Unit 1B Unit 1A Sample is from the thinly banded part of Unit 1B, alternating between quite coarse (light) and somewhat finer (dark) horizons. Big circular features in sample are large shrimp burrows.

Virtual rock sample 4 - from Unit 3 Unit 4 Unit 3 Unit 2 Drone footage from VFT videos #2 & #3 of Unit 3 in cliffs. Black arrows show location of contacts between the units. Rock samples are from Unit 3, collected on the beach below (that is why they are rounded, from wave action).

Virtual rock sample 5 – from Unit 5 Unit 5 Unit 4 Drone footage from VFT video #3 of Unit 5 in cliffs. Black arrow shows location of contact between units. Rock sample is from thickly banded Unit 5, collected from fallen block down below on the beach.

Virtual rock sample 6 - from top of cliff What are the white shiny mineral crystals? What are the holes? Rock name?

We collected rock samples from some of the sedimentary units, either directly from the lower sedimentary section, or from cobbles that have fallen on the beach from high in the cliffs - Take a close look at these rocks (you will find them in the PowerPoint of information and instructions), and fill in a description for each of the five samples in the table provided (p. 4, below). Regarding grain size - we know you can't look more closely or feel how gritty they are - make your best estimate of this.
