A pion (π−) moving with speed 0.800c in the
lab frame decays into a muon (μ) and antineutrino (ν¯). The
muon moves in the same direction as the original pion while the
antineutrino goes in the opposite direction. The mass of the pion
is 139.6 MeV/c2, and the mass of the muon is
105.7 MeV/c2. Assume the antineutrino is
massless. Find the energy and momentum of the muon in the lab
frame.

A pion (TT) moving with speed 0.800c in the lab frame decays into a muon (u) and antineutrino (ū). The muon moves in the same direction as the original pion while the antineutrino goes in the opposite direction. The mass of the pion is 139.6 MeV/c?, and the mass of the muon is 105.7 MeV/c2. Assume the antineutrino is massless. Find the energy and momentum of the muon in the lab frame.
