Determine the reactions
Draw the shear and bending moment diagrams for the beam. Use the
relations
between distributed load, shear and moments (Section 7.3) to solve
the problem.
Specify which parts of the moment diagram are straight (or
curved).
Specify magnitude and location of maximum shear and bending
moments
