8) Plans show design intent and are the standard of care for architects and engineers. Contractors are responsible for the means and methods of those plans, but the designers are not responsible for indicating how to build. What was the law that created this process? Hint: doctrine... In your response, provide a brief summary of who was involved, what went wrong, and what the law established as a result. 3 to 4 sentences is all you should need. 9) Plans are used by a general contractor to build. A general contractor may hire a subcontractor to do specific scopes of work that the general contractor does not self perform. If you were a foundation subcontractor, what plans would you need to build off of? Be specific as to why each plan is important. For this question, assume there are piles, pilecaps, concrete grade beams, and a concrete slab. Describe the process as best you can for the concrete subcontractor to build their scope of work.
