Assume that this structure is excited by a shaker placed at the roof level. As the design engineer of a consulting firm, you are asked to write the equations of motion for the structure, propose reasonable values for the parameters of the equation of the motion and suggest an instrumentation and test procedure for further calibrating the parameters using the test results As Phase 1 deliverables, please do the following Consider the structure in Project 1. Assume 1% modal damping ratio for all modes and assume that the structure is subjected to ground motion. The following is requested a. Write down the equations of motion for the multi degrees of freedom (MDOF) system subject to the ground motion in relative coordinates (53) b. Write down the equations of motion for the MDOF system subject to the ground motion in absolute coordinates ($3). c. Write down the detailed matrix equations in modal coordinates. That includes the force vector ($3) d. Explain what the modal participation factor is and calculate it for different modes of this building ($6). e. Calculate the response of the building to an earthquake record of your choice and plot the responses in terms of displacements, velocities, and accelerations in the 2 floor using the complete modal equations (55), f. Calculate the response of the building to an earthquake record of your choice and plot the responses in terms of displacements, velocities, and accelerations in 3d floor using a reduced modal equation including 1, 2, and 3 modes (55). I g. Compare the results of full modal model and the reduced ones and explain the differences in
