Assume that this structure is excited by a shaker placed at the
roof level. As the design engineer of a
consulting firm, you are asked to write the equations of motion for
the structure, propose reasonable
values for the parameters of the equation of the motion, and
suggest an instrumentation and test
procedure for further calibrating the parameters using the test
results.

As Phase 1 deliverables, please do the following:

1- Write the equations of motion in absolute coordinates for an
idealized model of building
consisting of 3 floors, and only shear behavior. Assume the
excitation is applied only in one
horizontal direction ($3).
