The One Way Slab 51 Typ Has A Thickness Of 5 In Cast With Fo 5 000 Psi Normal Weight Concrete 150 Pcf B 0 8 1 (41.09 KiB) Viewed 17 times
The one-way slab, 51 (typ.), has a thickness of 5-in, cast with fo'=5,000 psi (normal weight concrete, 150 pcf. B= 0.8). No. 4 Gr-60 rebars are used as main (i.e., longitudinal) reinforcement, and No. 3 Gr-60 rebars are secondary (i.e., temperature and shrinkage, perpendicular to main) reinforcement with a standard cover of X-in. No shear reinforcement is provided. The floor is subjected to a live load of 50 psf. (a) (10 points) Draw (hand-drawing is acceptable, for as long as it is clear the cross-section view (i.e., section A-4), without showing the reinforcement of the slab based on the information provided. Then, compute & show on the same view the required shear forces (V.) and moments (Mu) at critical locations of the slab per AC1318. Use clear span for your calculations. (b) (10 points) The design shear capacity (V.) per linear ft of the slab is nearly? (c) (10 points) Compute per AC1318 the minimum flexural reinforcement required (i.e., As min) per linear ft of slab. (d) (10 points) Compute per AC1318 the design flexural capacity (M.) per linear ft of slab for positive moment region of the slab, if it is reinforced with No. 4 Gr-60 rebars at 10" on-center spacing. (e) (10 points) What is nearly the amount of temperature and shrinkage reinforcement required per linear ft of the slab. Note No. 3 Gr-60 rebars are used. Round the spacing to the near X-in.
