Use method of sections or method of joints to solve for the following unknowns an the truss system shown in figure 2 below. For tensile members, use A = 500 mm² and for compressive members use A = 400 mm².
Use a =14.5 kN, b= 16.3 kN,
2.1 Axial stress in member CB in MPa. Indicate negative if compressive stress.
2.2 Axial stress in member CD in MPa
indicate negative if compressive stress.
