A simply supported reinforced concrete beam shown in Figure 2 is to carry a uniformly distributed load. The resulted design shear force diagram is plotted below. Reinforcement bars are N20 and concrete cover is 40 mm. Use N12 fitments, fsy: = 500 MPa and fc' = 32 MPa. Design the beam for shear reinforcement according to AS 3600.
