A uniform solid sphere of mass M. = 6 kg and radius R = 5 cm can rotate about a vertical axis on frictionless bearings, as shown in Figure B2. A cord, wraps around the centre of the sphere, over a pulley with mass My = 4 kg and radius Rx = 3 cm, is attached to a small block of mass m=0.2 kg. The cord does not slip on the pulley and the pulley can be treated as a uniform disk.
