A car warmed the cabin air for the passengers by collecting heat from the exhaust vapor of the engine. The double pipe counterflow heat exchanger moves cabin air at 0.33 kg/s heating from 0°C to 20°C the engine exhaust vapor moves at 5 kg/s, and has an initial temperature of 70°C. The inner two diameter is 3.5 cm. because of following on all of the services of the heat exchanger, the overall heat transfer coefficient is only 100 w/m2k. using the effectiveness – NTU method how long does the double pipe need to be for the cabin air?
