Determine the speed and dia of runner, if speed ratio is 2. flow ratio as 0-65 and overall efficiency as 91%- 4. A Kaplan turbine working under a head of 81'5 m is dis- charging 295 m/sec. of water at 75 R.P.M. and developing 38,000 B.H.P. The runner dia is 7 m and boss diameter is 3 m. Determine the inlet and outlet blade angles of runner, (6) mechanical efficiency and (ii) overall efficiency. Assume hydraulic efficiency as 94%.
