Pr.2- Consider an ideal Diesel engine operating on Air-Standard (A-S) cycle assumption. You are given that the engine has a volumetric compression ratio (rv) of 12 and a cut-off ratio (rc) of 1.8, and the working fluid air is at 200 kPa and 27 deg C at the beginning of the compression process (state 1). Assuming air to be an ideal gas with constant properties, determine: (1) the maximum pressure (P3) and maximum temperature (T3) of the cycle, (ii) the net work and heat input per mass flow rate, and (iii) the thermal and Carnot cycle efficiencies of this Diesel engine.
