Design the straight bevel gear set based on bending
strength(determine all required properties of gear set for
manufacturing) for factor of safety of 1.8. Bevel gear set has a
pressure angle 20 degree with 30 teeth is the driver. Ultimate
tensile strength is 850 MPa for both gears. Calculate
tranverse(profile) contact ratio, axial contact ratio and total
contact ratio of gear set.
