A premier company in KSA planning to build a low-cost turbojet with take-off thrust of 5 kN. • Inlet conditions: 1.0 bar and 300 K • Engine inlet diameter of 1 m • Single spool engine • Fuel to air ratio f= 0.022 Question 1 Assume losses in different engine components. Draw the specific thrust and TSFC based on a range of overall pressure ratio (OPR = 5-20) and Mach numbers (0-0.8). Choose an optimum overall pressure ratio based on performance plots. Make certain assumptions and justify, if required.
