Helium at 850kPa is heated from 350°C to 700°C. The heat source
supplying the heat for the process is at
1100°C. The Helium flows at a rate of 1.5kg/s. The environment is
at 25°C and 85kPa. Start at the
conservation of energy and derive adequate equations to calculate
(a) till (c) and then:
a. Calculate the reversible power the system can deliver
[kW].
b. At what rate is entropy generated in the process [kW/K]?
c. Calculate the exergy of the heat (in kW) leaving the heat source
[kW].
