Question 1:
A DC shunt machine has armature and field resistances of
0.2 ohm and 100 ohm respectively.
When connected to a 200V DC supply, and driven as a motor at 750
rpm, it draws 5kW from the supply. Calculate its speed when running
as a generator and delivering 10kW to the same supply. Neglect
brush drops.
