Two piezoresistors are diffused on the opposite faces at the anchored side of a cantilever beam to measure force F. If the two piezoresistors are inserted in a bridge circuit which is energized by battery E, then: A) Derive two expressions for the differential output voltage; one gives an exact output voltage while the other gives a simplified approximate voltage. B) If the resistance of each bridge resistor including the piezoresistors at F=0 is Ro=100 g. Calculate the exact and approximate output voltages if E=10 V and change in piezoresistor resistance AR values of 0, 10, 20 and 30 . Comment on your result. C) Calculate the nonlinearity error for the 4 AR values in part B). D) What are the disadvantages of resistive bridge sensors?
