By making reference to 802.11b networks, explain how the use of channels helps network administrators to manage their network access points for reduced interference. Discuss the difference between non-overlapping and partially overlapping channels and explain why in certain circumstances (such as residential streets) it is often preferable for households to make use of one of the partially overlapping channels for their home network, rather than one of the channels guaranteed not to overlap.
