Score reflects diners' overall satisfaction, with higher values indicating greater overall satisfaction. A score of 80 can be interpreted as very satisfied. a. Develop the estimated regression equation to show how overall customer satisfaction is related to the independent variable average meal price. O Score = 68.24 + 0.623 Price O Score = 69.28 + 0.559 Price O Score = 71.12 + 0.545 Price O Score = 70.95 + 0.512 Price
b. At the 0.05 level of significance, test whether the estimated regression equation developed in part (a) indicates a significant relationship between overall customer satisfaction and average meal price. O t = 3.92; p-value is less than 0.01; There is a significant relationship. O t = 2.85; p-value is 0.003; There is a significant relationship. O t = 3.16; p-value is 0.005; There is a significant relationship. O t = 3.16; p-value is 0.004; There is a significant relationship.
c. Create a dummy variable called "Italian" that equals 1 if the restaurant is an Italian restaurant; 0 otherwise. Develop the estimated regression equation to show how overall customer satisfaction is related to the average meal price and the type of restaurant. O Score = 67.40 + 0.573 Price + 3.04 Italian O Score = 68.21 + 0.625 Price + 3.04 Italian O Score = 67.40 + 0.482 Price + 2.88 Italian Score = 66.25 + 0.573 Price + 3.08 Italian
d. Interpret the coefficient of the variable "Italian" O The average customer satisfaction score for an Italian restaurant is 3 points lower than that for a seafood/steakhouse, holding average meal price constant. O The average customer satisfaction score will increase by 3 points for a one-unit increase in the variable "Italian", holding average meal price constant. O The average customer satisfaction score for an Italian restaurant is 3 points higher than that for a seafood/steakhouse, holding average meal price constant. O The average customer satisfaction score will decrease by 3 points for a one-unit increase in the variable "Italian", holding average meal price constant.
e. For the estimated regression equation developed in part (c), test for overall significance using a = 0.05. O F = 9.997; p-value is 0.005; There is a significant overall relationship. O F = 2.63; p-value is 0.017; There is a significant overall relationship. a O F = 3.71; p-value is 0.002; There is a significant overall relationship. O F = 9.997; p-value is 0.001; There is a significant overall relationship.
f. For the estimated regression equation developed in part (c), is type of restaurant a significant factor in overall customer satisfaction? Use a = 0.05. O p-value is 0.017; Type of restaurant is a significant factor. O p-value is 0.012; Type of restaurant is a significant factor. O p-value is 0.025; Type of restaurant is a significant factor. O p-value is 0.015; Type of restaurant is a significant factor.
g. What percentage of the variation in overall customer satisfaction can be explained by the estimated regression equation developed in part (c)? O 52.62% O 51.16% O 52.11% O 53.13%
h. Predict the Consumer Reports customer satisfaction score for a seafood/steakhouse that has an average meal price of $20. O 78.15 O 77.91 O 78.86 O 79.73
i. Predict the Consumer Reports customer satisfaction score for an Italian restaurant that has an average meal price of $20. 82.21 O 81.9 O 83.05 O 80.68
