It is important to involve HR, and for policies to be in place.
For example, where hiring policies are either weak or non-existent,
some environments may have individuals placed in positions not due
to their qualifications, but instead due to relationships. In those
situations, depending on the working relationship, it may cause
difficulties to team chemistry. For example, in one environment, a
family member was hired to a team their relative was working on,
and it made the working relationships on the team strained at best.
