Selenium from 0.111 g of Brazil nuts was converted into a
fluorescent product, which was extracted into 10.0 mL of
cyclohexane. Then 2.00 mL of the cyclohexane solution were
placed in a cuvet for fluorescence measurements in a single
container standard addition experiment. The Fluorescence intensity
was measured after each successive addition of standard, and the
equation for the standard addition line was found to be
Y = 1,092.9X + 42.35
The units for m are (ug/mL) -1. This makes the
units of the X term in the equation ug/mL.
What is the ppm concentration (ug/g) of selenium in the
original sample?
(enter only the value for ug/g. don't enter any
units)
