one-month unpaid internship
in London is now over £1,000, due to living expenses. The
government is considering
two policies. The first is to ban the practice of unpaid
internships. The second is to
allow students to use student loans to pay for the cost of unpaid
internships. What do
you think would be the effect of these policies, and what do you
recommend?
