A plane electromagnetic wave of frequency 3 MHz passes normally into a large flat slab of copper ( 4 = 10, € = €0, 0 = 58x100 02 m ) of thickness much greater than the skin depth. The (root mean square) r.m.s. electric field strength of the wave at the copper surface is 27.5 V/m. Determine (i) the average power per unit area at the slab surface, (ii) the wavelength in the slab, and (iii) the electric field strength at a depth of 25 um.
