7) When looking through a thin lens or mirror, your eye may see a real or virtual image. Explain the difference between a real and virtual image. 8) Galileo made a telescope from 2 converging thin lenses by magnifying the real image formed by the first lens (called the objective lens) with the second lens (called the eyepiece). If you have ever looked through a telescope or microscope, one of the obvious things that you might have noticed is that the viewed image is upside down (inverted). Being the bird lover that you are, you would rather have a telescope that shows your avian friends as right-side up (upright). Use your knowledge of optical devices (mirrors and lenses) to present a description of an optical design that would show an image of a bird that is magnified and upright, and use correct ray tracing techniques to justify your answer.
