A windowless flow proportional counter is used to
detect 5 MeV alpha particles that are totally stopped in the fill gas. The tube has an anode radius of 0.005 cm, a cathode radius of 5.0 cm and is filled with P-10 gas at 1atm. Using the data from Table 6.1, estimate the amplitude of the voltage pulses from the counter for an applied voltage of 2000 V and a collection capacitance of 500 pF.
