Please answer all parts for a thumbs up. TIA
5. Imagine a magma chamber that is slowly cooling over millions of years. As it cools, crystals begin to form following Bowen's reaction series as discussed in the previous lab. Now imagine we take a sample of the rock it becomes once it is fully cooled. a. Would the crystals in the sample be large enough to see with the naked eye, or would you need a microscope to see them, describe your reasoning? b. If we were to take that sample and put it in the SEM, would the crystals in the image appear rounded or angular and why? c. If we used the SEM to analyze the composition of the crystals in the sample, what are two minerals we would expect to find?
