1) The hepatitis B virus (HBV) is a DNA virus that causes
inflammation of the liver. Treatment for those infected with HBV
includes the anti-viral drug adefovir, which acts as an inhibitor
of viral DNA polymerase. Why do you think it is important that
anti-viral drugs adefovir specifically target viral DNA
polymerase?
2) Why do cells have several different types of RNA molecules?
Explain with reference to any two of the RNA molecules we have
covered in this course.
