A concave mirror reflects the light from the beamsplitter and directs is toward the detectors. 4 The light strikes a concave mirror which focuses it to the detector. 7. Polychromatic IR light is generated by the source. The beamsplitter transmits the half of the light coming from the stationary mirror and reflects half of the coming from the moveable mirror. A concave mirror reflects the multidirectional light from the source and directs is toward the beamsplitter. The light is reflected by the moveable and stationary mirrors back toward the beamsplitter. 4 The beamsplitter transmits half of the light toward the moveable mirror and reflects half the light to the stationary mirror.
