A quantity of 0.034 moles of NaOH is added to 308 mL of a buffer
solution that is 0.271 molar in acetic acid and 0.321 molar in
potassium acetate. (CH3COOH Ka =
1.75 x 10-5 and pKa = 4.757). What
is the pH of the buffer after the addition of the NaOH?
Assume no volume change with the addition of the sodium
hydroxide.
