One mole of oxygen molecules has 12.0x10^23 mol O atoms (1 dp). II. One mole of carbon dioxide molecules contains 6.0x10^23 mol C atoms (1 dp) and 12.0x10^23 mol O atoms (1 dp). III. The molar mass of carbon dioxide = M(CO2) = 44.0 g mol 1 (1 dp) IV. One mole of water molecules contains 1.2x10^24 mol H atoms (1 dp) and 6.0x10^23 mol O atoms (1 dp). V. The molar mass of water = M(H20) = 18.0 g mol-1 (1 dp). VI. What is the amount in moles of H atoms in 2.0 mol H2O? 2.4x10^24 mol H atoms (1 dp). VII. What is the mass of H atoms in 2.0 mol H2O? 36 g of H atoms (1 dp). VIII. Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere reacts with the water in the sea. H20(1) + CO2(g) → H2CO3(aq) molar mass of H2CO3 = M(H2CO3) = 62.0 g mol 1 (1 dp) IX. 1.5 mol H2CO3 molecules contain mol O atoms (1 dp) and therefore g of 0 (1 dp) X. What is the mass of hydrogen atoms present in 1.50 mol H2CO3? g(1 dp)
