4. Lucas is dragging a heavy box across the floor by a rope. He applies just enough force that the box moves at a constant velocity. Lucas is taller than the box, so the rope makes an angle of 37° above the horizontal. The coefficient of friction between the floor and the box is 0.32, and the box has a mass of 275 kg. a. (4 pts) Draw a diagram showing all the forces that are acting on the box as it slides across the floor. If any forces need to be broken up into components, show those components, and write out formulas for those components. b. (2 pts) What is the magnitude of the friction force the box feels? c. (3 pts) What force must Lucas apply to move the box? d. (3 pts) Lucas drags the box 25 meters in a straight line across the floor. How much work must he do to get this done? e. (3 pts) Dragging the box that 25 meter distance takes him 5.8 seconds. How much power has he put out? Express the number in watts and horsepower.
