9.1 A metal contains a high density of electrons, with interparticle distance of the order of 1 Å. However, the mean free path of electrons at room temperature is very large, of the order of 104 Å. This is because only a small fraction of electrons near the Fermi surface are excited. How does the mean free path depend on the temperature?
