Question 2. Expansion and combustion process (12.0 marks] The syngas from Question 1 leaves the coal gasification plant at 150°C and 135 bar absolute. The gas expands through a gas turbine, and the outlet gas from the turbine is fed to a boiler furnace at 100ºC and 1 atm. a. If the outlet gas from the turbine is fed to a boiler furnace at a rate of 525 m/min, determine the inlet flow rate to the turbine in m/min. (5.0 marks; ULO 1) (2.0 marks; ULO 2) b. If the syngas were burned with 5% excess air, determine the flue gas composition, assuming the selectivity of CO2 to CO production is 10:1. (5.0 marks)
