C. Liquid Hf-Nb alloy infuses into a B.C packed bed and reacts to form a HfBz-HfC- Nb B6-NbĄCs composite or the same boride-carbide precipitates embedded in a Hf- Nb alloy matrix. Determine the mass of Hf and Nb needed to give you sufficient Nb Be and Nb.C, in a niobium metal matrix by adding 20% excess niobium needed for the formation of 1 kg of NbsBe with carbide particles.
