Use minimum number of members. Design the structure for minimum total structural mass, each member having a cross-section just large enough to carry its load at maximum permissible stress. • Determine the vertical deflection under the load P2 Deliverables A typed full design report with the necessary components of a report e.g Table of Contents, Introduction, Definition of problem, Concept formation, Discussion of solution, conclusions, recommendations, appendices, etc. [120]
