(a) Draw a sketch of the duct showing an appropriate system boundary for a control volume and label the values of pressure and temperature at its inlet and outlet. (b) Determine the change in entropy of the air between A and B and hence decide which way the air is flowing. Assume ideal gas conditions such that the gas constant is 0.287 kJ/kg.K and for air cp = 1.005 kJ/kg.K. [Answer: 0.02966, B to A]
