all the bolts 3. (17 pts) Several 1/2 in-13 UNF Grade S bolts are used to resist a separating force of 200 kips. The stiffness of each bolt is ko = 5 Mib f/in. The stiffness of the members is km-12 Mibffin per bolt. The bolts are preloaded to 75% of the proof load. Assume the load is equally distributed to (3.1) (9 pts) Find the minimum number (N) of bolts required for a yielding safety factor of 1.2; (3.2) (4 pts) With the number of bolts obtained in (3.1), determine the service load stress on each bolt: (3.3) (4 pts) With the number of bolts obtained in (3.1), determine the total resultant load on members applied by the whole joint.
