The figure below shows a highway circuit breaker. Pillar D is a
lead screw, and in step 1, motor 1 works to lift the middle plate
(the entire blocking device) with the lead screw. At this time, the
load is transmitted to the trust bearing. In step 2, motor 2
operates to rotate the circuit breaker 90 degrees. The lower end of
motor 1 of pillar D is equipped with a radial bearing.
(A) Calculate the force applied to each column and lead screw by
analyzing the load applied in step 1.
(B) Based on the force determined in step 1, determine the diameter
of column C and column D, and trust bearing.
(C) Design the lead screw shape (Di, Do). (considering the number
of bites)
(D) Design the bolt diameter of the plate fixing the guard
rail.
