A hot metal post at temperature T1 is quenched in a water tank which is heated by heater (t) = 200 sin 0.5t, shown in Figure 1. The wall of water tank is well insulated which no heat is going out from the tank. R2 = 5 s-k/kJ is the thermal resistance between metal post and water. C1 = 10 kJ/K and C2 = 15 kJ/K are the thermal capacitance of metal post and water tank, respectively. T2 is the temperature of water in tank.
