The diameter of the suction pipe is twice that of the delivery pipe (i.e. D = 2d). The total head loss is 0.4m of oil at point 2. Point 1 is 0.72m above point 2. The supply head is 12.5m of oil and the oil has a density of 850 kg/m Determine the velocity of the flow in the suction pipe.
